Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is famous for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career and became popular with the role of Tezaab in which she appeared alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir in Dil. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle class family and started dancing in her early years. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled through a couple of years since many of her early films were flops. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and she became one of the most prominent actresses within the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a hiatus in her professional career. She returned later. In recent times, she was in a prominent performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film was about struggles faced by women across India. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
