MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca is an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina, his chart-topping second album, in the year following. Then, in 2021 He sang a duet 2021 along with TINI for her smash hit Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are both musicians. He has said in interviews that music was a necessity. As a child, he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. While his initial career choice was becoming a vet, his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift as a performer changed his entire life.
